My Padre is by far the best wood craftsman EVER!! 

The last two Christmases we have been lucky enough to have homemade gifts! 

Last year we received a "wall mounted message center." That was the official name from the designer (Alana).  I was afraid we wouldn't have place for it in our new house, but I was surprised! It fits perfectly right as you enter our house by the front door. It actually looks like it was made for that spot. I love it!!

This year was just as perfect!! My Dad (the builder) and Alana (the designer) came over and even measured where they would be putting our gift to make sure it fit. So yes, this was made from scratch and hand painted.  We already had our red hutch in the house, so they made one to match, only it was for our kitchen. It is amazing!!

They look like a set! And even have the same hinges!

We have floating shelves about it and he even matched the thickness of those with the top of the cabinet!

What my Padre doesn't realize is that now I know how good he is! We could use some new night stands.... hint, hint, wink, wink.
