What day is better than the day after Thanksgiving, to start celebrating Christmas? Scottie makes me promise each year that I wait until that day before decorating our place for Christmas. This year I thought we would start off with a bang and we volunteered at the Winter Garden aGlow (at the Idaho Botanical Garden) yesterday.
They have over 250,000 lights! It was beautiful!
Of course it ended up being the first REALLY cold day of the season. So we were standing outside in the cold rain with no heater or cover above us passing out flyers to each and every guest that came through. It was COLD!!
Luckily they had these barrels nearby for us to take turns standing by to warm up.
And they gave us warm cider and hot chocolate! Yummy!
